European Social Firm of the Year Award 2024

This year we continue with the SFE CEFEC  Award tradition. In this way, Social Enterprises, Social Firms, Social Cooperatives can present and share good and best practices.

Please prepare the following:

2. Create a poster or video – free to be created as you wish and present it on 19 September 2024, during the CEFEC Annual Conference, from Lisbon/Portugal. More details about the event are here: https://cefecannualconference.eu/home
3. The AWARD Committee (members of WG3) acts as jury and will evaluate the Form and Poster/Video after 15 June 2024 and will inform all the applicants of its decision by 01 July 2024, by using this Award Evaluation template.

The winners win up to 500 euro, prize given for two sections: Start-Up Social Enterprise and Best Practices Social Enterprise.

European Social Firm of the Year Award 2023

The winners of the 2023 SFE CEFEC Award are:

European Social Firm of the Year Award 2022

The winners of the 2022 SFE CEFEC Award are:

• Award for the best start-up social enterprise for Limited Responsibility Youth with Special Needs Education, Solidarity and Social Business Cooperative Özel Gereksinimli Gençler Kooperatifi, from Eskișehir, Turkey
• Award for the best practice social enterprise for Ateliere Fara Frontiere from Bucharest, Romania

In 2021 we continued with the SFE CEFEC tradition to award the Social Firm which presents best according to this Registration Form. We hope that you will encourage your own social enterprises or other social firms in the orbit of SFE CEFEC movement. Please take this to your organization and prepare the following:

1. Send the completed Form by 31^st May 2021 and a poster or a video that best captures your activities at socialfirmseurope@gmail.com
2. Create a poster DIN AO Format or a short video (maximum 3 minutes) and prepare to present it during the 2021 Annual General Assembly online meeting;
3. The AWARD Committee acts as jury and will evaluate the Form and Poster or Video after 31^st May 2021 and will inform all the applicants of its decision by 15 June 2021;
4. The representatives of the social enterprise will be asked on 24 June 2021 to present the Social Firm by the poster, video or any other performance.

This year the winners will be presented during the SFE CEFEC Annual General Assembly online meeting, on 24 June 2021, and will win up to 500 euro, prize given for two sections: Start-Up Social Firm and Best Practices Social Firms.

We hope that you will encourage your own social firm or other social firms in the orbit of SFE CEFEC movement. First of all, we are thinking of SFE CEFEC members, but befriended social firms can also apply. Please take this to your organization and prepare the following:

1. Send the completed Form by 31^st January 2020 and a photo of the intended poster or a video at socialfirmseurope@gmail.com ;
2. Create a poster DIN AO Format or a short video (maximum 3 minutes) and bring it with you on the first day of the next SFE CEFEC Conference;
3. The AWARD Committee acts as jury and will evaluate the Form and Poster or Video after 31^st January 2020 and will inform all the applicants of its decision by the 15 February 2020;
4. The representatives of the social firm will be asked on 18 March 2020 to present the Social Firm by the poster, video or any other performance;

This year the winners will be presented during the 1^st day of the Conference, on 18 March 2020, and will win up to 500 euro, which will cover some of the participation and travel fees and will be given for two sections: Start-Up Social Firm and Best Practices Social Firms.

The winners of the 2018 SFE CEFEC Award were 3 organizations: Lister Sartoria Sociale – Società Cooperativa Sociale from Italy, at the section Experienced Social Firm; Sc.Tactilmed Servicii Srl from Romania at the section Experienced Social Firm and Greens LLC / ProReha from  Bosnia and Herzegovina at the section Start-Up Social Firm.

European Social Firm of the Year Award 2016

The winners of the 2016 SFE CEFEC Award were 2 organizations: first prize went to Spóldzielnia Socjalna „Dalba” and the second one went to the Restaurant Philharmonic of Taste, both social firms from Poland.

• Cooperative Brewery Dalba wants to change the image of people mentally disabled in the society and to create workplaces for people with mental disability. They added their passion to the beer and the sea and embedded it all in the tradition the region.
• Restaurant Philharmonic of Taste wants to approach people through music and attract customers by organizing classical music concerts with musicians performing live in restaurant.

European Social Firm of the Year Award 2015

The winners of the 2015 SFE CEFEC Award were 2 organizations, one from Greece – KOISPE DIADROMES and one from Switzerland – Öko-Reinigungsservice GmbH.

The aim of KOISPE DIADROMES is the continuous, stable and reliable support of the Cooperative through the Work Team to ensure the viability of the enterprise and the continuous creation of new employment positions maintaining a balance between the entrepreneurial strategy and the social aims, fighting and eliminating the social stigma, through – among others – the creation of a work identity and the improvement of the financial position of the Cooperative’s members in times of crisis.

Öko-Reinigungsservice Ltd. is a charitable social firm. The employees work in mixed teams, disabled and non disabled on the open market. The firm aims at creating jobs and sustain them. The firm works on the basis of social justice, ecological tolerance and sustainability and in this way it acts responsibly in our society. Their unique selling point is “Confidence and Support”, because added value is only possible if employees are respected and estimated.

“Öko-Reinigungsservice Ltd.” changed the name to “Oeko Service Ltd.”, because of the two new services gardening and housekeeping/maintenance, www.oekoservice.ch

European Social Firm of the Year Award 2014

The winner of the 2014 SFE CEFEC Award – DOBROVITA Company for training and employment of people with disabilities d.o.o. from Ljubljana (Slovenia) which presented through a theater play their best practice DONE and DUSTED!

SFE CEFEC would like to continue with its Award tradition, this time with feedback from all conference participants, allowing for further development at the next conference. In this way, Social Firms can present and share good and best practices.
